Without any musical accompaniment but only beat box and a cappella singing, the CICM delegates from the participating schools entertained the audience performing their a cappella renditions last Feb. 13, 2016, during the 5th CICM Schools Friendship Meet held at University of Saint Louis (USL), Tuguegarao City.

USL did not fail to set the standard as its team composed of two beat boxers, one being the winner of the Friendship Meet Song Melody Contest, and six vocalists, one being the first runner-up in the CICM Schools Friendship Meet Vocal Solo Contest-College Division, performed Thyro Alfaro and Yumi Lacsamana's song composition "Kilometro" and "Cruisin' for a Bruisin'" as popularized by American a cappella group, Pentatonix.

Saint Louis College - City of San Fernando, La Union (SLC-SFLU) cut the silence when they rendered the hit "Nasa 'yo Na ang Lahat" complemented with their retro fashion and getup, before changing the mood performing variety of foreign classic hits which they started to rehearse since December according to Ms. Tanya Pagsolingan, one of the eight-member group.

Saint Louis University (SLU)-Baguio, already known for their powerhouse chorale, SLU Glee Club, which competes in national and international competitions, brought the house down as their all-male group dressed in black pants, sleeves and ties, mesmerized the crowd with their performance of Hagibis' classic OPM hit "Katawan" paired with their masculine and hilarious choreography before transitioning to their second song, "You've Made Me Stronger."

"It was so fun. We've met a lot of friends from different CICM schools, and it was a great experience. We're hoping for that kind of event to happen again. It's like winning and at the same time gaining friends, which I think is the main reason why we are here," Mr. Vincent Anthony Sarceda, SLU's tenor vocalist, said.

On the other hand, Saint Mary's University (SMU) - Bayombong, clad in their blue attire, sang "Awitin Mo at Isasayaw Ko" an OPM song popularized by VST & Company, and a version of American artist Ariana Grande's pop song "Problem."

By the end of the night, SLU was announced as the champion for the A Cappella Competition with SLC-SFLU and SMU in the second and third places respectively.
