USL holds interdepartmental Cheerdance Competition;
University field sears in intensity

The University Field vibrated with cheers for victory ignited by the burning heat of the sun as the pep squads of the seven participating departments displayed their stunning yells and dance routines during the Cheerdance Competition in line with the 51st Founding Anniversary of the University of Saint Louis, Feb. 14, 2016.

Being the first performer, the School of Hospitality and Vocational Education (SHVED) group set the standard of the competition as they danced to their powerful music mix wearing their vibrant costumes and letting the crowd focus on their jaw-dropping stunts and synchronized dance steps.

The School of Business Administration and Accountancy (SBAA) came next, giving the people a new sight as they growled in their wolf-themed uniform which highlighted their spectacular performance that was built up with near-to-perfection breathtaking lifts and pyramids and excellent routine synchronization.

Performing third was the High School pep squad in their treasure-hunting-inspired performance and pirate-themed costumes which helped them have a break from the ‘youngest team’ impression and thus, letting them to offer a presentation of synchronized dance steps and brilliant stunts.

The School of Engineering, Architecture and Interior Design (SEAID) group mesmerized the crowd as they performed their routine on a fairyland-like theme, providing a magical demonstration filled with outstanding stunts and lifts.

Next was the electrifying performance from the School of Information and Computing Sciences (SICS) as they danced to their competent routine with superb stunts and pyramids, in their pink-colored costumes.

The School of Education, Arts and Sciences (SEAS) offered the audience a little scenario of a Chinese-inspired cheerdance routine as they showcased their fiery stunts and steps in their burning red costumes.

The School of Health and Allied Sciences (SHAS) astonished the crowd as they proved they were definitely not the least with their exquisite routine filled with wonderful steps, spectacular surprises with their props and the exceptional cap exhibition which gave the people a finale that surpassed the expectations.
