Louisians, Marians dazzle at Socio-cultural Events

Dancing lights illuminate the stage as the contestants plow through.

Delegates from the different universities and colleges and University of Saint Louis’ own students, personnel, alumni, and visitors attended the socio-cultural events held on Feb. 12, 2016, six o’clock in the evening at the Outdoor Stage, USL Field.

The elementary representatives of the different schools exhibited the art of Folk Dancing on the first event.

The second event was commenced by the lyrical cadences of the singers in the high school division, Vocal Duet. The participants astonished the crowd with folk songs and original Pilipino Music (OPM).

Following were the exhilarating moves with rhythm and style of music of the Pop Dance competition participated by the elementary students of the different CICM schools who indeed tripped the light fantastic with the music of the 70s to the 90s.

It was formally called a night for the CICM participants and spectators after the powerful performance of the vocal solo college division which was the last event of the CICM Socio-cultural contests of Feb. 12.

Winning the gold medals/ championship trophies were University of Saint Louis (Folk Dance), Saint Louis University (Vocal Duet), and Saint Louis College-San Fernando City, La Union (Pop Dance and Vocal Solo).

Forsooth, it was a festive night for the Louisians and Marians who showcased their endowments in the different fields.
