Dr. Ferdinand N. Cortez, English Language Center Director, was sent in Malaysia for a two-week long professorial visit in Universiti Utara Malaysia (Northern University of Malaysia) on June 14-28, 2009. UUM, one of USL's partner institutions, is located in Sintok, Kedah, Malaysia.

Malaysian Visiting Professor to Conduct Luzon-wide IT Training at USL

The IT training is conducted by a prominent professor in the field of IT and Computer Science, Dr. Ku Ruhana Ku Mahamud, a visiting professor from the University of Utara Malaysia. The training aims to enhance the IT project proposal writing skills and ability to use correct tools to computer system performance problems of educators, researchers, and ICT professionals in the region.
