USL produces Top 1 CPA board passers for two years in a row; University is Top 2 Accountancy School nationwide
USL has made it again!
Mark Anthony B. Tacuboy, the national top one (1) in the Oct. 2014 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Licensure Examination administered by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), has just followed the feat of Jackson C. Apostol who topped the CPA board exam, same month of last year.
Tacuboy garnered a rating of 91.14 percent. His batchmate, Mc Lein G. Bagunu, placed fourth with a rating of 89.86 percent.
Tacuboy and Bagunu finished the course BS in Accountancy in April 2014. The former, who comes from Ballesteros, Cagayan, graduated as Cum Laude. Bagunu is from Sta. Maria, Isabela.
USL ranks second in overall institutional performance in the recently concluded board exam with 59 passers out of 68 takers (86.76%).
As per Commission Resolution No. 2010-547 series of 2010, there are only two schools that made it to the roll of Top Performing Schools in the said exam. The University of the Philippines (Diliman) ranks first.
National passing rate is 37 percent.
